Fluency doesn't come from memorising rules. It comes from speaking, being corrected kindly, and speaking again — with someone who grew up in the language.
Built in Kuala Lumpur, taught from everywhere
Auditbase Academy started in 2022 in a shared office at Solaris Dutamas with three tutors, a whiteboard and a waiting list of colleagues who wanted "English for real life, not for exams only". Word spread the way it does in Malaysia — through family WhatsApp groups.
Today our roster covers more than forty native-speaking tutors across six countries, while our student-care team still works from the same neighbourhood in Kuala Lumpur. That mix matters: lessons feel international, support feels local. You can call us during Malaysian office hours, pay in ringgit and talk to a human who understands SPM, MUET and the local job market.
We deliberately stayed an academy rather than a marketplace. Tutors are employed and trained by us, follow one method, and meet every fortnight to compare notes on their students' progress.
Speak 60% of the lesson, or we've planned it wrong
Every programme is built on the same three pillars:
- Assessment first. Your first session maps your speaking, listening, reading and writing to the CEFR scale, so progress is measured, not guessed.
- Talk-heavy lessons. Tutors are trained to keep students speaking for at least 60% of every session. Grammar appears when you need it, inside your own sentences.
- Feedback you can reread. After each lesson you receive written notes: what you said, what a native speaker would say, and what to drill before next time.
Once a month your tutor writes a progress report and adjusts the plan. When you cross a CEFR level, you receive a dated certificate of completion.

UK, Irish, American, Canadian, Australian and Kiwi tutors with CELTA, DELTA or TESOL — verified before hiring, observed every quarter.
Same tutor, every lesson
You keep your tutor for the whole programme. If the match isn't right, we swap once and refund the mismatched lesson.
Honest scheduling
Lessons start on time, run the full length, and can be moved free up to 12 hours ahead. No expiring credits hidden in fine print.
